This Grippy Hip Circle is one of my favorite pieces of equipment to use during my warm-up prior to squatting.
I will normally use it for about 20-30 lateral monster walks and a few bodyweight squats. Due to its increased resistance, I feel as though I don’t have to perform as many reps as I would with a more typical mini-band.
It also works really well during glute type activities such as a hip thrust, bridge, or clamshell to offer much more resistance than a typical mini band. I would definitely recommend using it in a physical therapy setting.
I haven’t had it long enough to really speak to its longevity, but I’ve used it 5x/wk for the past several months and it hasn’t lost any of its resistance. And at $25, you can’t really beat that.
Here are a few example videos of something I may before prior to squatting, as a general warm-up, or in a rehab setting.
